Watercolours are painted in Lee’s distinctive loose style and limited palette to capture the changing light and atmosphere that is unique to the Lake District. Painted directly from sketches made outdoors these beautiful works of art have a more contemporary feel.
Oils are painted on canvas which is stretched and primed by Lee himself, and feature the more familiar and picturesque side of the Lake District, but with a few moody mountain scenes included here and there to add a bit of drama to the range.
Limited Edition Prints are individually signed and numbered by Lee and are restricted to just 250 copies. Using high quality paper and lightfast inks, these Giclée prints make an ideal alternative when the original painting is already sold. Each print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity stating its title and edition number.
The Furness Peninsula range offers paintings and prints inspired by the surrounding coastline of Lee’s hometown, Barrow-in-Furness. Tucked away in the North-West corner of England, and just a few miles from the Lake District, paintings of this unique and beautiful area have been sold all over the World.
Photography is by John Harrison, a climber and mountaineer who has spent as much time as possible exploring the mountains of the British Isles, Europe and as far a field as South America. Hand in hand with this has gone his love of photography and a desire to capture the beauty and drama of the natural landscape.
